Peter Schreyer, German designer is the one who makes better designs. He is also responsible for the design part of 1st generation TT sports car and other Audi cars.

Schreyer’s complete focus is on clean design and the proportion that you see on Kia’s latest version offers bold look, which is sharper and dynamic than other vehicles that Kia has released.

In the video released, Schreyer explained the significance of proportion with respect to premier design and how the RWD chassis exactly affects the car dynamics and design.

Making use of K9 example, Schreyer identifies different aspects that make the vehicle look premium. It is worth watching the video for the one, who’s interested in design.

For K9 itself, it is the new flagship sedan that went on sale in the company’s domestic market and it is offered in the other countries and regions, where Kia models are not sold. Car name and release date will be revealed later this year.

Price

The company has released the new Sorento base version with a price tag of $23,150. The price starts at $23,150 and goes up to $33,400. The high end model with top notch amenities is priced in the range of $33,000.

Features for 2013

The top of the line- SX trim gets chrome exhaust tip, larger 18” wheels, and LED taillights. Interior comes with tilt/telescopic steering and air conditioning system. The base model gets standard power windows. Options available in the lineup are “Convenience Plus” package and UVO infotainment system that also includes leather-wrapped steering wheel and 8-way power driver seat.

On EX trim, dual-zone automatic climate and leather seats are standard. SX trims add cooled/ heated front seats, illuminated door sills, and stainless steel pedals.

How about the engine?

A 2.4-L 4-cylinder engine is used in the 2013 model that can knock out 175 hp of total output power. The EX and SX trims are equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 engines that can deliver 191 hp and 276 hp respectively. All the engines are mated to a 6-speed auto transmission and front wheel drive is standard with optional AWD.

Engine and Performance

2011 Kia Sorento SX comes with a front-wheel drive option or 4-wheel drive option and 5-seat configurations. The vehicle is powered by a 2.4-L four-cylinder engine that can generate 175-hp. You can also find an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine that can generate output power in the range of 276 hp. Engine in the vehicle is teamed to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It can achieve a fuel economy of 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highways.

The 2011 version of Kia Sorento SX includes standard features like all-speed traction control, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, stability-control, overhead curtain airbags, ignition disable, and anti-whiplash head restraints.

This vehicle also includes features like dual-zone automatic climate control, 18 inch alloy wheels, satellite radio, heated front seats, audio controls on steering wheels, rear view camera, and navigation system. Kia Sorento for the year 2011 is completely redesigned. Market price of the vehicle is around $30,230. 2011 Kia Sorento SX comes with basic warranty of 60,000 miles/60 months.
